Your bank data, in Zed
Zed runs MCP servers as context servers. The mcp-remote bridge connects Zed to the Redbark MCP endpoint and handles the OAuth 2.1 browser flow, so Zed’s assistant can read your accounts, balances and transactions live.
Connect Zed in four steps
Connect your bank to Redbark
Sign up for Redbark and link your Australian bank accounts through CDR Open Banking. You consent at your bank — Redbark never sees your login.
Add a context server
In Zed’s settings.json, add the Redbark context server using the mcp-remote bridge, as shown below.
Authorise with OAuth
On first launch, mcp-remote opens your browser to authorise with OAuth 2.1. Approve read-only access and the connection is cached.
Ask away
Ask Zed’s assistant about your balances or recent transactions. It reads live, read-only data each time.
