How does Raycast authenticate with Redbark?

Raycast authorises with OAuth 2.1 in the browser — you approve read-only access once, and there is no API key to paste.

What can the AI actually see?

Read-only access to your connected accounts, balances and transactions (and, on the Professional plan, brokerage holdings and trades). It can never move money or change your accounts.

Does Redbark store the data Raycast reads?

No. Each request is proxied live from your bank through the Redbark MCP server. Redbark stores consent records, encrypted tokens and minimal account metadata — never transaction amounts, descriptions or balances.

Which Redbark plan do I need for MCP access?

MCP access requires a Developer or Professional plan. Brokerage tools (holdings and trades) additionally require the Professional plan.

Why the mcp-remote bridge?

Raycast runs MCP servers as local commands. mcp-remote bridges that to the remote Redbark server and manages the OAuth 2.1 flow, so no key is stored in Raycast.

Is the connection read-only?

Yes. Redbark requests read-only CDR access, so Raycast can read balances and transactions but can never move money.
